87 pounds gone forever

I am dressed and ready to go to Curves for my workout. Yes, that's what I said--WORKOUT! never would have thought I would say (or do) that! Amazing what a difference 87 pounds can make. All is well. David had his back surgery a week ago and doing fine. Molly & Chris are coming next week for Christmas. I am looking forward to the holidays because I know I can and will enjoy them without gaining weight. Some of you have asked about Molly & Chris's dog, Dexter, so I'll post a photo next. He is Mr. Personality! Cute, too! So---until next time, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Update: 80 pounds gone forever

November 17, 2008
This is my 80 pounds gone photo. I feel great and today I returned to where I retired from 2+ years ago. Some people didn't recognize me. I got re-hired there and will start December 8. It is part-time, night shift in the Cardiac ICU. I am excited about going back.
This weekend we will go to Portland and help Molly & Chris get settled in their new apartment.

Oregon Coast Trip

We are in Rockaway Beach on the beautiful coast of Oregon. We have had perfect weather. Molly & Chris joined us on Monday night. We are having a wonderful time. Yesterday we hiked to Cape Mears Lighthouse. I did that trek when I was 61 lbs. heavier and beleive me, it was a lot harder then! I am posting a few pictures of our week so far. Today we are off to Cannon Beach & Seaside.

Today is my 5 week anniversary since surgery. I am down a solid 50 lbs total (20 since surgery)! I will try to post a pic just taken 2 days ago of my brother Chris & I at his 50th birthday party. The Fred Flintstone costume goes along with the dinosaur theme of his party. I am enjoying eating fish or seafood almost every day. I feel good and am happy with the progress.
